My name is Sue Worthington and I am an online marketer and love teaching business owners how to build websites, and get found online by using search engine and social media strategies.

Here on the site you will find a wealth of information about Blogging, Twitter, Facebook, Social Media Strategy, and Online Marketing.  Lots of tips, tricks and strategies to help your business thrive and grow.

My business is in two parts – I love to help businesses in my local area develop their marketing strategies, and get involved in Social Media, and I also love my online work -  so the workshops and presentations I give to my local business community are also online, as products for online marketers and business owners of all kinds, to learn and get value from too.

My ultimate aim is to work online and share my Social Media Strategies with my community, whilst enjoying the freedom to work from anywhere in the world.

I am truly passionate about what I do and I want to help you achieve your ultimate dreams and goals for your business and lifestyle.

So how did I get where I am today?

Well as you can see from my photo up there I am fifty something, a Wife, and Mother of 2 grown boys.

I have worked all my life in the corporate world as an accountant, and 3 years ago was able to fulfill my lifetime’s ambition by starting my own business.

My eldest son encouraged me to get online, because he had developed quite a lucrative ebay business whilst at college.  So that is where my online career began.

But I did not just jump right in and start enjoying the success I have today! Oh no, not at all.

Every online marketer has a story to tell about the trials and tribulations of trying to earn an income online, and I am no different.  But I truly believe that you have to suffer the down times, and go through that whole process of trying everything out there, before you reach a level of understanding and can truly start to understand how to make it work, for you.

I went that usual route of purchasing so many different products, and following so many different ‘gurus’, that it was seriously affecting both my bank account and my emotions too.

After about a year I began to believe that it would never work for me, and I was on the verge of giving up and going back to the dreaded JOB.

I was really down about it but in one last attempt I began to follow a UK marketer called Alex Jeffreys, and began to implement his strategies and joined his community.  I also attended one of his live events in Las Vegas, which when you live in the UK is a definite commitment.  This was my turning point and  truly was the inspiration and the push that I needed.

People I met there convinced me that I could make it work and encouraged me not to give up.

My path online then led me to the fabulous Maria Gudelis and Tina Williams, and after going through their rigorous training programme, I am now a certified Social Media Specialist, and able to use this wonderful logo.

Maria and Tina have helped me every step of the way, and continue to be a constant source of support and advice in all aspects of Social Media.

Maria’s and Tina’s strategies encouraged taking the online skills I had developed, and taking them out to local business owners, to help them with their marketing.

I joined local networking groups and soon began to gather a band of followers, who wanted to know more.

Many offline businesses have large marketing budgets and my skills were welcomed, and I quickly began to achieve some impressive results for those business owners.

My Twitter Workshops are the best fun ever! Here we are at a recent event which I held at the home of one of my networking colleagues!  Yes we are wearing party hats – that is another story! I promise you we have so many laughs.

Of course my confidence grew – I began to further hone my online skills because I still firmly believed that I could combine the two paths.

So I kind of came full circle and now really enjoy the combination of working online literally from anywhere in the world, yet meeting my local clients, and my networking friends too.

What Can I Do To Help You?

I hope that my story can provide some inspiration to everyone out there, especially you ladies of a certain age, like me! If I can do it, then so can you!

Having acquired business skills throughout my career as an accountant and auditor, I am now enjoying transferring those skills to my online business, in addition to learning more all the time. I do understand the importance of maximising a business’s bottom line, of spotting new opportunities, of being able to look at the bigger picture whilst also paying attention to the details.

I was head of a large team and planning, monitoring, mind mapping, and strategic thinking were second nature. The project I worked on also involved a ton of research. Also, unlike a lot of people, I love number crunching – in internet marketing this has translated into creating lists and mind maps relevant to the newbie marketer.

So you can be sure on my blog you will see lots of advice in the form of lists and mind maps, and very thorough research on every subject. When you start to follow me I hope you will begin to develop your Social Media skills.

I now enjoy a very different lifestyle – one that allows me to work anywhere in the world.

Here I am in Mexico!

I will be in Florida every January to March and continue my work from there.

So look out for my reports from there next year.

In January 2010 I attended an event in Las Vegas and combined that with a long holiday.

If you can get online you can work and that is what I love about this lifestyle.

If I can do this then so can you!
