Hi Sue,
good post here. A lot of people are still trying to figure out what social media is all about. Businesses today need to align themselves with this trend of marketing. Like you've rightly mentioned, training staffs or associates is imperative if they want to get good results.
The most important thing is for one to get social on these social platforms, before venturing to present any business related information to anyone.
