In addition to the numerous web directories out there, you also need to consider submitting your site to the following:-

• RSS Directories
• Blog Directories
• Niche Blog Directories

As you probably know more and more people are utilizing RSS readers and aggregators to keep themselves informed. RSS is becoming a key distribution channel, so it is definitely worth making the effort of submitting your site.  As with other submissions there are automated software tools available.

Gaining exposure for your blog is critical to building a following, readership, and revenue. Besides the basic SEO steps of adding compelling and keyword friendly titles, URL structure and descriptions (along with the basic Wordpress SEO plugins), basic link building for blogs begins with listing them in blog directories. There are the more general blog directories, and also many specific to niches, so submit accordingly.
